- Cost of Caesarean Section in New Delhi
Caesarean section or colloquially called as C-section is a type of delivery rampantly recommended and used for operating on pregnant women in current times.
No price information available as of now.
The C-section delivery procedure commences with an IV(Intravenous) tube being inserted into the woman's arm for administering medicines and fluid into the body. Further, a catheter is inserted into the bladder for removing urine for a single day. Anesthesia is then given to the expecting mother to desensitize her stomach and feet. Initially, the gynecologist makes an incision into the abdomen. Next, a vertical or horizontal second incision in the uterus above the pubic line is made. Through this incision, the baby is removed. After taking it out the baby's nose and mouth are cleaned which allows it to breathe properly. The obstetrician then stitches up the uterus.
C-section delivery is advised by obstetricians under following circumstances:
- Twins or triplets: If the ultrasound shows multiple births - twins or triplets, then a C-section is suggested.
- Fetal position: If changing the baby's position is not possible, a C-section method is practicable.
- Health complications: Serious health complications suffered by mother has chances of being transmitted to the baby through a vaginal delivery. At such times, a C-section is advisable for mother and child's health.
- Pregnancy related emergencies: If incisions from previous delivery burst open, a C-section is advisable. Probability of such situations is very rare.
- Previous delivery: If the woman had undergone her previous delivery using the C-section way, then chances are high that the obstetrician would suggest a repeat caesarean.
- Fetal distress: If fetal distress is visible when the baby isn't responding well or isn't growing properly, then a C-section is necessary.
- Baby's size: If the baby's head size is too large to come out of the birth passage made up of cervix, vulva and vagina, then a C-section is essential.
- Stalled labor: When the mother experiences stalled or prolonged labor and also when baby is not receiving proper oxygen, it could prove fatal for the baby. C-section is a preferable baby delivery method at such times.
